Moleside’s November Concert visit – our 4th this year in Roy Edward’s programmes of music that he knows will delight members and perhaps introduce us to works new to us – found us as usual enjoying an early evening meal in Cote’s Sloane Square restaurant.
And our organiser on the night Paul Tiller insured there was comfortable time in the schedule after we had eaten for the leisurely stroll round the corner to Cadogan Hall. Roy and Paul between them have developed a pretty perfect arrangement for a Moleside evening of meeting, eating and enjoying tremendous musical performances in one of London’s most impressive concert halls.
Tonight’s programme was particularly appreciated. “Roy’s recommendations are always spot on,”said one of our regular concert goers, ‘but this evening was probably his best in 2022”.
In Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 the soloist was Jennifer Pike.
The evening’s programme also included Smetana’s Ma Vlast: Vltava and Dvorak’s Symphony No 8.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was conducted by Chloe van Soeterstede.
Thank you Roy and Paul for another thoroughly enjoyable Moleside concert visit.
Looking ahead – Our next London concert is on Thursday 23 March 2023.
