Talking points at Moleside’s November visit to Sandown Park for the first day of the new National Hunt Season certainly included one or two mentions of winners. Over and above a few successes with the bookies though was wide appreciation of the arrangements Stephen Rouse had made for our club members to enjoy the occasion.
In fact here is the real winner for everyone – the round table for the Sunday Lunch in pride of place to watch the racing that followed.
Even if any tips on the runners and riders didn’t always lead to a first past the post there was universal agreement that what made the day special was being able to sit together in such a fine vantage point.
