Moleside’s ScieTech group was recently privileged to visit Guildford’s Surrey Space Centre where we were hosted by Prof. Craig Underwood. He revealed the work that’s done here today to build on the Centre’s four decades and more of pioneering small satellite technology.
Inspecting the Centre’s Mission Control, we learnt of the 24/7 monitoring of all the live, international projects currently managed from here.
And we were given a bench top demonstration of the frictionless movement space craft experience outside Earth’s atmosphere.
Our regular group discussions in Cobham, usually on the first Friday of every month, give us the opportunity to draw on the personal interests and experience of our fellow members. Before several of our regular attendees retired and joined Moleside, they too had built their careers helping develop branches of science, engineering and medicine in our fast developing world.
And some of our own previous work experiences have also resulted in other specialist visits to local sites of science, engineering and technology interest.
To anyone interested in keeping up with how the world is progressing – and discussing the impact the change is bringing to all of us – joining our Science & Technology group should be a must.
